Purpose

To help build and develop web sites for clients.


Person Specification

Must have a strong understanding of the Internet and at least 5 years relevant development experience building front-end & back-end applications.


Main Tasks

- To develop websites; both front-end (XHTML, CSS) and back-end (PHP, MYSQL)
- Follow procedures set by the Project Manager.
- Advise on timescales to complete project requests.
- To perform adhoc duties as and when required
- are likely to be available at reasonable notice for a bit of work here and there


Skills required

Strong understanding of Interactive media and demonstrate experience of:
- Hand coding of valid XHTML and CSS
- PHP 5 (Object oriented)
- AJAX
- MySQL
- JavaScript
- Working in a LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) environment.
- Understanding of accessibility issues
- Understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
